Come with me on a short walk to see where much of the action in Foresters takes place.
We'll start here. In Foresters there is a footpath alongside the railway line on the right. If you think you know where it is, please don't tell me the path is in the wrong place - this is a half real and half fictional place.
Further on, there is a bridge over the railway and a narrow road leads into the forest. Tom Westwood's new cottage is along here somewhere. Carry on through the forest
Tom will keep on walking straight ahead here - the mere did not exist when my story takes place.
We shall have to go the long way keeping the mere on our right. When you come to the road, go right and on into the village. Don't forget to feed the swans!
From here you can walk back along the road to the station. You will pass the Snig's Foot on the way. Except, of course, that it isn't called the Snig's Foot. Drop me a line if you think you know it.
